  Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (2005) and its replacement in 2026
  The 2005 Act gave rural households a legal right to at least 100 days of unskilled wage work a year. It was repealed from 1 July 2026 and replaced by the VB-G RAM G Act, which provides 125 days.
